Miley Cyrus to replace Mariah Carey in 'Today' show

Miley Cyrus has been engaged as the last act in the "Today" show's summer concert series in New York, NBC said.

Scheduled for August. 28, the performance marks Cyrus's 2nd live concert on the morning program.

The Cyrus gig is to substitute Mariah Carey's previously announced "Today" concert, which has been called off. NBC said the called off Carey concert will be announced at a later date. No reason for the postponement has been presented.
